Tuckshop, Uniform Shop and Book Room

P&C News this fortnight

Thank you to our Volunteers

Thank you to our wonderful team of volunteers who have assisted at the Tuckshop in 2017. Your assistance has allowed the P&C to achieve our goal of air conditioning the science block.
A special thank you must go to Amanda Lewis and Fiona Davies our long term tuckshop volunteers whose youngest children have just finished year 12 this year. Amanda commenced volunteering at our tuckshop in 2008 and has assisted us monthly for the past ten years. Fiona began volunteering with us in 2012 and has been a dedicated volunteer for the past six years. Amanda and Fiona’s regular and sustained commitment to serving our students has been invaluable. Thank you Amanda and Fiona and we wish you and your families the very best for the future.
Volunteer assistance enables the Tuckshop to make a profit which is then donated back to the school to improve the learning environment for our students. Earlier this year the P&C contributed $15 000 to air condition two science laboratories in E block. Over the Christmas holidays, air conditioning will be installed in the 8 laboratories and 2 classrooms in C block (Science), at a cost of up to $140 000. This project has been made possible through the donations to the P&C building fund and profits from the Tuckshop and Uniform Shop.
Without volunteer assistance, improvements like this to our student’s learning spaces could not have been achieved this year.
We are welcoming expressions of interest from new volunteers who would like to join our Tuckshop volunteer team in 2018. Please contact to advise of your availability. Any amount of assistance, even one day, will be greatly appreciated. Your help will allow us to contribute to new improvement projects at the school in 2018.

Seeking new P&C Committee Members for 2018

The P&C Association is actively seeking current and new members to take on active roles on the P&C executive committee in 2018. Several of our long term committee members have advised that they will not be continuing in their roles next year as their children are close to finishing high school,
In 2018, we look forward to welcoming several new people with fresh ideas to build on the successes of the current committee. If any parent or community member is interested in finding out more about the P&C executive roles or wish to nominate for a position, please contact Penny Hauenschild at
The current committee will be in place for the next two meetings on 21st November and 20th February. The Annual General Meeting will be held on 20th March when the 2018 committee will be elected.
