Information Communication Extension (ICE) program

ICE stands for Information Communication Extension. This three-year program aims to foster learners who are uniquely prepared to excel in a world that is being rapidly transformed by digital technology.

In the ICE program, students use a range of technologies to innovate, collaborate, and communicate. The program is supported by specialised teaching, extra-curricular activities, and a modified curriculum that includes a range of rich learning experiences using technology.

Applicants to the program are assessed on previous academic performance, results of a general aptitude test (see example questions (PDF, 126 KB)), a short digital presentation and five additional questions during their enrolment interview.

Students who enter the program a required to purchase a specially selected laptop computer and use this extensively during their time in the program. The laptop purchase is organised through the school as this ensures students and teachers in the program can rely on excellent technology and continuity of access.
