Dear Parents and Students,
With the message coming out yesterday that we will move to Student-Free Days next week (30th March – 3rd April), I’d like to advise of the following in regards to assessment that was due during these times:
- All exams either online or not have been postponed in order to protect the validity and reliability of the result.
- All practical or physical projects that require a physical submission to the school site, will not be expected until after the holidays.
- All assignments, unless otherwise directed by your teacher (and authorised by the HOD), will still be expected to be submitted online by the due date.
We acknowledge that students and families will be self-isolating and not receiving instruction next week. However, in the interest of supporting our students and finalising as much of their learning as possible, we are requesting that students submit assignments that they have spent much time completing and were expecting to submit. We have done this to provide as much certainty as possible for our students who have had their assessment placed in limbo. This will also provide them with some opportunity to remain engaged and connected to their school work over the week prior to their scheduled holidays and to know that some of their work in finalised.
Please remain at home and look after each other. We hope to see you all after the holidays.
Should you have further questions around these assignments, please direct this to your child’s teacher in the first instance.
Thank you for your support.
Mr Paul Robertson
