Kenmore State High School understand the important role parents and guardians play in contributing to their child's education and success. The school is committed to supporting the wellbeing of students and families, and provide useful sessions throughout the year on relevant subjects to assist each child's wellbeing and education. Parent Information Evenings hosted by the school in the past have addressed topics such as body confidence, anxiety and many more.
We invite parents and caregivers to our second Parent Information Evening for 2022 on Tuesday 14 June from 5:30pm – 7:00pm, presented by ThinkUKnow Australia.
ThinkUKnow Australia is an evidence-based education program delivered nationally to prevent online child sexual exploitation. The presentation will be delivered by a local law enforcement member and an industry volunteer. The presentation is pro-technology and addresses topics including safe mobile phone use, self-generated online child sexual exploitation material, online grooming, image-based abuse, sexual extortion, and importantly encourages help seeking behaviour. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to learn more about young people and the online environment, and how you can help them to be safe and responsible users of technology.
