Following advice from experts regarding COVID-19, a number of sporting events have been cancelled or postponed until further notice. We will continue to update this information as required.
The Department of Education has made a decision to cancel all representative sport, effective as of 17 March 2020.
All representative school sport programs — including district, regional, state, national, interstate and international competitions — are cancelled until further notice. This decision to cancel has been taken in line with the Australian Government directive to minimise non-essential gatherings in order to reduce exposure risks associated with COVID-19. - Junior Summer Gala Day scheduled for 31 March, 2020 has been cancelled.
- Senior Summer Gala Day scheduled for 23 April, 2020 has been cancelled.
- All future Gala Days will be reviewed closer to the competition dates.
The Met Finals series scheduled for Week 3, Term 2 is yet to be confirmed. An update will be provided as soon as new information is available.
Cross Country scheduled for Friday 3 April (Week 10) has been cancelled.
The decision to cancel has been taken in line with the Australian Government directive to minimise non-essential gatherings in order to reduce exposure risks associated with COVID-19, as well as the Queensland Government's decision to cancel all representative school sport programs until further notice. Kenmore State High School will continue to follow the advice of health experts and will re-evaluate the event when any updates regarding Queensland representative sport are received.
