The Student Representative Council (SRC) is made up of the school Captains and Vice-Captains (who form the executive), Prefects, Indigenous Leaders, House Captains and elected Form Captains from each form class. Their primary role is to support student initiatives that reflect the needs of the students and the school.

The SRC raises funds through free dress days which coincide with social and cultural events that the student body deems as important. The first is Valentine's Day where students can send serenades or messages to their friends attached to a rose or red heart balloon.

Money raised from these events go towards supporting the formal, SRC projects, and any student initiative that is school related that the SRC deems worthy.

Kenmore State High's SRC gives an opportunity for all students to have their say through two tiers of structure. The first structure is the more formal meeting where all representatives meet, put forward motions to the meeting, discuss them and vote on them. The second tier is the open forum where any student can place an issue on the agenda and have a rational discussion and debate about the issue. This process ensures that students' voices are heard and their opinions valued.
