The Kenmore State High School tuckshop is a spacious, modern commercial kitchen and servery. We provide an extensive menu including a large range of freshly prepared hot and cold meals, drinks and snacks. The tuckshop is open Monday to Friday from 8.30am for breakfast, morning tea and lunch, and there are also vending machines stocked with drinks and snacks that can be accessed from 6.00am until 5.30pm each day. Gluten free options are available but do need to be pre-ordered – please see the menu for choices.

The tuckshop is a self-service set-up, where students collect drinks and food, and proceed to the checkout to pay with either cash or debit/credit card. However, if students want to avoid the queues and be guaranteed to get the food they prefer, students are welcome to come to the tuckshop between 8.30am and 8.50am any morning to pre-order and pay for food for the day, or pre-order second break food at first break. Pre-ordered food is available for pickup from the tuckshop and can be collected without queuing.

All of our products comply with the Smart Choices Healthy Eating guidelines that were introduced by the Queensland Government in 2007.

If your child forgets their lunch and doesn't have any money, you can phone an order to the tuckshop on (07) 3378 1308.

Payment

The tuckshop accepts both cash and card.

Volunteer at the Tuckshop

Tavita Roma is our Tuckshop Convenor and is assisted by Linda Watson, Gemma Brown, Jacqueline Hussey, and the wonderful volunteers whose contribution to the running of the tuckshop is invaluable. Our volunteer parents are a wonderful group who work with our two staff members daily, enabling the P&C to operate a busy canteen that serves breakfast, morning tea and lunch five days per week.

The tuckshop needs volunteers to allow us to provide the best service to our students. To sign up as a tuckshop volunteer or see what days are available, email tuckshop@kenmoreshs.eq.edu.au.

We would welcome volunteers who are only available for the busy serving time from 1–2pm or who may be available to come in on short notice in an emergency. If you can help in any way, please contact our Tuckshop Convenor, Tavita Roma on (07) 3378 1308 or email tuckshop@kenmoreshs.eq.edu.au.
