NOMINATIONS OPEN: ADF Long Tan Youth Leadership and Teamwork Awards 2026
Nominations are now open for the school's 2026 Year 10 and Year 12 ADF Long Tan Youth Leadership and Teamwork Awards!
The Australian Defence Force (ADF) Long Tan Youth Leadership and Teamwork Awards were first presented in 2006 to encourage the development of behaviours and attributes considered critical in Australia's leaders of tomorrow. The awards recognise students who demonstrate leadership and teamwork within both the school and the broader community, and who display strong values such as doing one's best, respect for others and “mateship" - values considered integral to both the ADF and Australian society.
Recipients of a Long Tan Youth Leadership and Teamwork Award will receive a certificate and a financial reward - $250 for a Year 10 student and $550 awarded to a Year 12 student – which will be presented at the school's Premier Awards Evening in November.
Students can nominate themself or a peer (must be in Year 10 or 12 at KSHS). Nomination forms can be collected from the Student Services.
Completed nominations are due to the Student Services by end of day Friday 7th August 2026 (Week 4, Term 3).
