parent-information-evening.pngWe invite parents and caregivers to our Parent Information Evening on Tuesday 4 June from 5:00pm – 6:30pm. The topic of discussion will be Cyber Safety and Security presented by ThinkUKnow Australia and will be hosted in the Professional Learning Centre (PLC) at Kenmore State High School. The session will be 60-70 minutes with time for questions at the end.

The presentation will be delivered by a local law enforcement member and an industry volunteer. The presentation is pro-technology and addresses topics including self-generated child abuse material, online grooming, sexual extortion, and importantly encourages help seeking behaviour.

This is a fantastic opportunity for you to learn more about young people and the online environment, and how you can help them to be safe and responsible users of technology.

Kenmore State High School understand the important role parents and guardians play in contributing to their child’s education and success. The school is committed to supporting the wellbeing of students and families, and provide useful sessions throughout the year on relevant subjects to assist each child's wellbeing and education. Parent Information Evenings hosted by the school in the past have addressed topics such as body confidence, cyber safety and many more.
