South Queensland Schools Conference Rowing Regattas run from Saturday 4 May through to Saturday 14 July 2024, culminating with the 2024 Queensland Schools State Championship Regatta on the weekend of 14-16 September 2024.
Learn to Row
Come and Try Rowing (free session) and Learn To Row (4 week course - $76.00)
Rowing is open to all year levels and is located at Centenary Rowing Club, Sumners Road, Riverhills.
Learn to Row is structured into two 4-week blocks. You will start off in crew boats, alongside experienced rowers for the first 4 weeks and then, if you want to keep going, you will have a further 4 weeks of learning in a single scull.
After completing the Learn to Row course, students will be able to join the school team and go on to compete in the various regattas held throughout the year.
The first 4 week block will cost $76 and will run on these dates:
- Saturday 2 March 2024 – 9.00-11.00am
- Saturday 9 March 2024 – 9.00-11.00am
- Saturday 16 March 2024 – 9.00-11.00am
- Sunday 24 March 2024 – 9.00-11.00am
In the event of bad weather, make up sessions will be run in early Term 2. The second block will run in Term 2.
