Applying for a Program of Excellence
Kenmore State High School offers a range of Programs of Excellence for students including Ken-X, German Immersion and Extension (GIEP) and Music Extension (MEX).
Students applying for Year 7 in one of the school’s Programs of Excellence are required to complete an application form and entrance examination (Ken-X & GIEP) or audition (MEX). These examinations are used to rank high-performing young students as part of a body of evidence considered for entry.
A non-refundable administration fee of $200.00 applies for a Program of Excellence application. This includes mixed programs (e.g. $200 fee if applying for the MEX/Ken-X combined program).
Program of Excellence offers will be sent the week commencing 17 June 2024. Acceptance of these offers is due to the school by 12 July 2024.
Students who are offered conditional entry into a Program of Excellence must attend the Accelerate Program in 2024 for GIEP, MEX and Ken-X with dates and details to be provided to successful applicants.
